A first class event

June 9th, 2007 teed off a new season at the prestigious Elm Ridge country club.
The turn-out was large and members danced up a storm all night to the sweet sounds of
The Directors Showband .

This particular event proved itself to be a huge success and was the largest member turn out the club had ever seen.

Tony and Randi along with the band proved that live music had returned, with a vengeance.
(no sequences here folks, just true, pure, honest, raw talent.)

The Directors would like to thank the following beautiful ladies for all their hard work and dedication to the event.

The Directors would also like to thank Leslie Hoppenheim- The Party Planner.

Francisco, along with all the staff and management of Elm Ridge Country club
for providing The Directors with ' first class and top notch ' service and hospitality.
This team truly goes above and beyond and should be noted as such.
The Directors highly recommend Elm Ridge Country Club to anyone looking for class and superiority at their event.

Sincerely,

The Directors.

Bride and groom score in Ottawa

It was a steamy night in Ottawa, on June 2nd, 2007.
The Ottawa Senators were battling it out with the Anaheim Ducks for the Stanley Cup, but
only one special couple drank from the cup that night and that was Jessica and Gian-Luca.

They celebrated their victorious moment at reception hall La Contessa
in Ottawa.
The Directors showband
were there to "face off " at center stage.

As guests sat down for dinner, they enjoyed a side- splitting comedy routine performed by burlington based comedian Fred Proia.

Here's a shot of the bridal party as Fred cracked some pretty funny jokes.
After a delicious and filling dinner, it was time to get the dancing portion of the evening underway.

Here's a power play by Tony and Randi from The Directors .

Jessica and Gian-Luca danced in the ' Neutral Zone' as friends and family enveloped them with streamers. An Italian tradition....

The ' zamboni ' was called out to clean the dance floor...

The emcee called the next line, none other than Jessica and her father.

Next up was Gian-Luca dancing with his mother as Jessica and the bridal party watched from the edge of the dance floor.

Stop!!!.. Garter time!Can't touch this!
......................................................................................................

The results are in, you, the people have voted and the first place champions of
"Dancing with the Italians" are:

Auguri !! It was tough competition but you did it!!

.....................................................................................................................

The night was a total 'shut out' and The Directors show band pulled many a ' trick ' from their ' hat '.

The Directors would like to thank Jessica and Gian-Luca and their families for bringing The Directors home team to Ottawa. It was truly a winning combination.
Thanks also to La Contessa
for their great service and professionalism.

Sincerely,

An "Ora" of devotion

Many people have different beliefs about rain on a wedding day.
Some people believe if it rains on your wedding day it means you will have many children. Another belief is that rain on the wedding day represents the bride's old boyfriends crying after her. There's also the thought that if it rains on your wedding day and everything is on schedule or close to it, the marriage will be a success because it shows that you work well together under pressure in the face of obstacles. All in all the only bad thing rain seems to bring when it comes to weddings is bad hair.

In the Jewish religion, it is said that rain is a sign of good luck .
It is said that a wet knot is more difficult to untie.

On May 20th, it did in fact rain.
That only affirmed to everyone that Lori and Zach were a couple that were meant to be.

The wedding was held at the Beth-Ora synagogue in St.Laurent. Now newly renovated, their facility boasts a beautiful backdrop for a beautiful wedding reception.

Beth Ora synagogue set the scene and The Directors Showband were center stage to celebrate with Lori and Zack on the most important day of their lives.

The Hora was a dancefloor frenzy with their 220 guests sharing this memorable moment with the radiant couple.

And then it was onto the meal and the motzi....

The Director's own Tony Picciuto (below) had to be a part of the traditional ceremony...

..................................................................................................................

Soon it was time for Lori to dance with her father....

Zach with his mother.........

Zach even had a special dance with his sister....

The customary dance the "Mezinka" marked the last child to marry from Zach's family.
A true blessing for David and Lynda, Zach's parents.

............................................................................................

Next up was the garter and bouquet toss ..........

Here are some fine ladies posing before the bouquet toss...

Special mentions go out to a close friend of the bride and Groom who performed with
The Directors showband.

The night came to a close with Lori and Zach and all of their remaining friends and relatives for one more dance...

And one last picture....

The Directors would like to thank Lori and Zach for inviting us and are honored to have been a part of this most joyous occasion.

Thank you also to Beth Ora Synagogue.

Sincerely,

The Directors
