Ballroom Blitz

And now, Ladies and Gentleman, it's time to play ..............................

Tony's Trivia
Question: On Sunday, July 9th, 2006, what unforgettable "event" took place?

"No, Tony, it wasn't Italy winning the world cup..."

Answer: Joy Byer married David Szamosi and the two lived happily ever after...

Where do we start on this one? This was a party to remember !
I mean look at that dress! Joy WAS most definitely the Belle of the ballroom, indeed !

"Direct" from the source.....

Joy, David, their respective families along with their invited guests celebrated with JOY....
and David, at the Chevra Kadisha Synagogue on Clanranald.

Downstairs was a who's who of the community slowly sipping cosmopolitains while enjoying a sumptuous array of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres.

The sweet sounds of 2 violin players from the Montreal Symphony Orchestra accompanied the bridal party for their walk down the long red carpet aisle. Officiating the ceremony, was none other than
Rabbi Mordechai Zeitz.

Into the main Ballroom:

Now known as "Le Ballroom" the hall had the most amazing atmosphere. Almost Reminiscent of a shakespeare play. And as always, " The Directors" were there for opening night.
The tables were decorated with silver plates and lush bouquets as centerpieces.

Guests entered to the melodies of "The Directors" .
The Bride and Groom were announced...Cue, Horas....Mashiach! mashiach! Mashiach!

Tony, Randi and The Directors soothed the mood during dinner with sweet duets and amorous love songs.

And when it was time to get down and boogie, this dynamic duo took no prisoners...

Needless to say this party was a hot one....

And now for a more in depth look at Jewish Tradition: .......................................................................

The Mezinka:
A customary dance to honor the marrying off of the last child.

On this night , it was Judy and John Szamosi. The parent's of David, the Groom.

It really was a delightful evening , even our own DJ, Dizzy Dom pumped out the newest of the new tunes, as the band took one or two very much needed short breaks.(Band's gotta eat!)

And so it was, the bittersweet end to an even sweeter evening.
The remaining friends and families, danced one last time to "What a wonderful world" . The band kept them lingering as Derrick Paul ,trumpeteer extraordinaire, delivered jazzy notes which filled the room with a captivating feeling felt by all and the memories of a night to remember.

"The Directors" would like to thank the management and staff of "Le Ballroom" for their professionalism and hospitality.
The band would also like to thank the Byer and Szamosi families for choosing "The Directors" and hope that everyone had as much fun as they did.
