A Sentimental Journey

The weekend of July 7th, 2007, The Directors showband was on the road again, straight down the 401.

Destination: Stoney Creek , Hamilton, Ontario.

Mission: Wedding reception of Michael and Jennifer.

What a beautiful location !!

Held at the LIUNA GARDENS
in Stoney Creek, Ontario , there were breathtaking views of Lake Ontario and plush greenery in its surrounding gardens.
Truly a picturesque scene for a romantic wedding.

4 star quality....
As were the couple, Jennifer, Michael and their invited guests.

Jennifer and her friends NEVER left the dancefloor....

Getting Creative

At certain weddings, some couples keep with the traditional and some get a little more creative.
" Why not? It's your wedding and you can cry if you want to, right?"

Instead of clinging glasses for a kiss, Michael and Jennifer, decided to go a different route.

Fuzzy dice.
Mike and Jenn had their family and friends roll dice for a kiss.
Anything below 7 meant that the roller had to kiss the one they were with. Above 7, it was straight to the bar....
if they rolled a 7, jackpot !
Seven happens to be a magic number. A lucky number.
Which made it even more appropriate that date of the wedding be 07/07/07.

The party didn't stop.....

The Directors brought the crowd to a dancing frenzy...

Back to the traditional....

Jennifer and her father danced.....

The garter was found....

The evening was a take on the traditional with a creative edge.

The Directors were honoured to play for Michael and Jennifer, as personal friends to the band, it was truly a sentimental journey.
