The Directors Showband_The Montreal Children's ABC Ball

The Directors Showband performed for the Montreal Children's ABC Ball.

Nadia Saputo of Fandica headed the ball with the help of the Children's committee and Les 3 Producteurs.

The theme for the evening was "Diamonds and Pearls"

$ 900,000 was raised in the efforts for the Children's Hospital. 

850 attended. 

The Directors Showband gave their big band best as guests entered the outstandingly decorated room.

Ambassador to the Children's is none other than Montreal's own Nikki Yanofsky who performed her Olympic single " Believe".

The Directors continued to rock the dance floor with a newly updated repertoire of music. 

The Directors would like to thank Nadia Saputo and the entire Children's committee for providing us with the opportunity to be a part of this special event.

THE DIRECTORS SHOWBAND: Maimonides 100th Anniversary

The Directors Showband have been busy entertaining Montreal.

In May, The Directors were chosen to perform at the Maimonides 100th Anniversary.

The Jewish Community came out to honor the last 100 presidents.

Produced by Jason Katz (Atmosphere Communications and Events) and the Maimonides Committee, it was an unforgettable evening for all.

Mc for the night was CJAD's Andrew Carter .

Special Feature for that night only was Montreal teen singing Sensation "Nikki Yanofsky" .

For those of you who don't know, here's a little trivia, Nikki Yanofsky got her start while singing with her father's band at the Maimonides Battle of The Bands in 2005 which happens ever year at Metropolis. The Monies raised goes towards the Suite Dreams campaign - a capital renovation project to refurbish all of the resident living spaces. 

That night, Nikki was presented with her first gold plated album. ( Presumably the first of many ...)

Ofcourse no celebration is complete without some live entertainment that keeps the crowd moving and grooving from the very beginning of the night until the last person leaves.  Montreal's most sought after Showband graced the stage with a sweet dinner set and high intensity dance set.

Needless to say that there was no shortage of FINE entertainment. 

It seemed everyone was enjoying themselves....

The Directors Showband 2010 : A new decade, a new outlook

The Directors Showband have been in hiding over the past several months preparing for a very busy upcoming 2010.

New music, a new vibe and a new outlook.

The Directors Showband would like to take this opportunity to welcome Joe Marsillo, the newest member to the band and a perfect addition to the already existing 10 piece unit.  His talents prove to bring the band to new and exciting musical heights.
