A Celebration of life

The Directors show band began their upcoming busy season on a charitable note.
It was the Organ transplant patients committee associated with the Royal Victoria hospital who held their 9th annual celebration of life dinner-dance at Reception hall Le Crystal
on Saturday, April 21st, 2007.
This year's event recognized the tireless work of Linda Cyr and La Maison des greffés du Québec on behalf of transplant recipients and their families.

The event was headed by Rosa Shields who dedicated time and energy to raise funds for the cause.

The Directors also dedicated their time to the foundation for the second year and this year had the opportunity to perform with guitarist extraordinaire, Gary Schwartz. Gary, has performed all over the world with many celebrity acts and has performed in some of the world's biggest musicals. "Les Miserables" and "Showboat" to name a few. A big thanks goes out to Gary who graced us with his musical talents...

The Directors would like to thank Rosa Shields and the Organ Transplant committee for the opportunity to perform and give back to a most worthy cause. The Directors look forward to next year's 10th anniversary.

Winter weddingland with a view

In the vows of marriage, there is a line which mentions "in sickness and in health", another which says "richer or for poorer" and one that says " for better or for worse".
On the evening of February 17th, 2007, another line should've been added to the ceremony for Evelyn and Mike. And that was: " in snowstorms and in windshield factors of 30 KM per hour".
Although it was a very cold evening, the temperature on our matrimonial thermometer was way above normal levels.
Evelyn and Mike wedded blissfully at the Montreal Science Center
in the Old Port of Montreal.
The view of the Old Port was breathtaking......


This reception was different than most.
Catered by one of the most original and creative high-end caterers in Montreal,
Dansereau Catering
This reception was not a typical sit down 4 course meal. They offered beautifully handcrafted hors d'ouevres, exquisite fruit and cheese display along with a host of delectable treats which kept guests bellies full and on the dancefloor the entire evening.


A concept like this one for a wedding is advantageous because the party continues all night and keeps the dancefloor packed until the wee hours of the morning.

There were a few key moments which made the celebration even more exciting.
Two dancers were brought in to entertain and teach guests the tango. What better dance to learn at a romantic wedding?

A vision of fireworks blazed from outside and guests were in awe, it was truly a beautiful sight...

Another special feature presentation was David Riba who shocked guests with his flamboyant rendition of Steppenwolf's "Born to be wild" which he performed on stage with "The Directors".

The night was coming to a close as invited guests made a circle around the newlywed couple who danced amorously to Depeche Mode's "somebody".

A picture had to be taken with the glowing bride....

We thank Evelyn, Mike and their families for choosing The Directors.
This is a celebration that we will never forget.

Good luck to the newlyweds, it was an honor to be a part of this very enchanting event.

A romantic affair with Valentine's flair

The Directors are back baby!!

Vacations have come and gone and The Directors are back in the spotlight with fresh new sets and even some new members. The band is hotter than ever, and ready to take the entertainment world by storm !

The Directors official first full band show of the year was on February 10th, 2007 at Buffet Sorrento for it's annual Valentine's Day Gala. Some comments were it was the best party the hall has put on in years!!! The Staff and management did an exceptional and professional job with both service and food choices.
The Directors were once again, the top choice for entertainment.

The band pulled out all the stops as they introduced a brand new repertoire of modern day classics which kept everyone and their mother kickin' it on the dance floor.
(We're not kidding....)

What did remain the same, was the everlasting energy which poured from the stage as directed by non-other than the band themselves. Onstage chemistry between lead singers, Katz and Picciuto, showed all that there is in fact, no other business than show business.


This night had it all.....romantic duets....

Soulful guitar licks performed by none other than The Directors' own Mr."Funky" Frank Bufo

Interaction as usual during high energy dance sets....

(yes, those are furry boots...not commonly worn by Miss Katz at a Directors show, but ladies, we all know what new shoes feel like 4-5 hours later....she promises, it will never happen again...)

Lastly, there's always the signature last dance for those guests who just don't want to stop dancing....


Special mention goes out to "Big AL" and the accordian set.
His new accordian sounded as good as gold while guests tangoed and danced the chacha until the balls of their feet were so swollen, that table #15 were offering free foot massages.
(We regret, however, pictures from those moments have not been released)

Let's just say the party exceeded expectations tenfold.

Starring: Bedard

Saturday, December 9th, 2006, marked the Christmas celebration for the company "Star Bedard" held at the intercontinental hotel in Old Montreal, Quebec.

This event was a collaberation between two powerhouse forces. Diamond Entertainment merging with "The Directors" was a surefire bet. The result was an evening of non-stop entertainment and interaction.

The atmosphere was one of class and holiday cheer as guests showed up to the intercontinental hotel in Le Ruelle. The employees and management of "Star Bedard" enjoyed fine cuisine with first class service and high energy top-notch entertainment provided by "The Directors" and Andre from Diamond Entertainment.

From the get-go guests enjoyed an hour long cocktail with live instrumental music provided by "The Directors".
From there, Andre from Diamond Entertainment took over and coasted attendants through some speeches and gift give-a-ways with his perfect choice of music. Andre really knows how to pick his repertoire specialized to the client. Organization and professionalism en masse.

It was time for "The Directors" to get the people on the dance floor. Some even got up onstage.
Why not? The more the merrier.....

The crowd was receptive and ready to party the night away....And that they did.....
"The Directors" and "Diamond Entertainment" was a winning combination.

Party goers had no hesitation when it came time to interact.....

The "Star Bedard" event was a huge success. All who played a role in the organization did a suberb job. There was not a dull moment.

"The Directors" even had a chance to take a couple of band shots while Andre from Diamond pumped out classic dance and rock hits.

Once again, "The Directors" would like to thank and give credit to Andre and Valerie from "Diamond Entertainment", the Intercontinental Hotel and "Star Bedard".

We look forward to working with you in the future and send our very best for the Christmas season and New Year.

NDG's best kept secret

November 24th, 2006 was yet another successful show for "The Directors" over at N.D.G's hottest Italian restaurant SUL VIALE .

It was a sold-out crowd and an evening filled with dinner and dancing.
Even some familiar celebrity faces came out to join in on the fun. From "CFCF 12" Frank Cavallaro was there among a host of other familiar faces. (Unfortunately, Mr.Cavallaro didn't bring along his zuchinni, but he did predict a mild evening.)

It was a mixed crowd that evening...
Believe it or not, there was a request for traditional Jewish Hora.
When was the last time you were at an Italian restaurant, and the entire room got up to participate in a hora?
"Waiter, I'd like the gnocchi rose, the calamari to start, a bottle of your best red wine with an 'extra chair' on the side please?..."



One thing is for sure, wherever "The Directors" appear, there is nothing short of a raging party always with some extra spontaneous surprises.

"The Directors" would like to thank "Sul Viale"for their hospitality and professionalism.
The restaurant , staff and management went over and above their call of duty.

Restaurant Sul Viale: The place to be

Once again The Directors performed at SUL VIALE restaurant on Upper lachine.
For those of you who've never been to Restaurant Sul Viale, it is absolutely, bar none, the hottest and trendiest Italian Restaurant in the west-end of Montreal.
The food is out of this world, and nicely priced...they even have half portions of pasta.

It was a rainy and windy one on October 20th, 2006 but that didn't stop a crowd of 100 who came out to the most talked about dinner and dancing show of the month.
This time was even better than the last!!

The restaurant was packed and there was no shortage of a good time had by all.
The cuisine was prepared by the good chefs at Sul Viale who once again, outdid themselves. Cheers!!

The party began at 7:30 p.m. and didn't stop until 3:00 a.m.
People just didn't want to leave.

The band was so contagious, that even the waiters got into the action and ended up dancing on the tables...

It really was a wild time.

The great news is, The Directors are expected back at Sul Viale on November 24th, 2006 for Sul Viale's one year anniversary.
As far as everyone who came is concerned, Restaurant Sul Viale has much to celebrate.
Come and celebrate with them.
Tickets are $15.00, which includes a free drink at the bar of your choice and the menu is a la carte, allowing you taste whatever dish on the menu that excites you.
Our suggestion is the Gnocchi Gorgonzola or the seafood pasta. Absolutely to die for!!!
They also have a wood burning oven for homestyle Italian pizza.
Let's just say, you'll leave full and satisfied.
