"Tock" about a great wedding

The Directors have no doubt had a busy summer. Being one of the top choice bands in the city is no small feat. Labor day weekend left many of The Directors with sleep deprivation and the only time found left to rest was between cocktail and ceremony on August 31st.

Most people don't realize the amount of energy it takes to perform at an event.
A much deserved power nap between two back to back high energy shows.....

As they say, no rest for the wicked...
Once energized, The Directors were back on their feet to entertain the next audience that awaited them.

Sam and Elizabeth were full of energy on August 31st and married on the most popular weekend of the year.
At Shaar Zion Synagogue they signed "the ketubah" and made it official.

DID YOU KNOW? In the Jewish religion that the "signing of the Ketubah" is a binding legal document, one which catalogs a husband’s obligations to his wife, and makes provisions for her protection in the event of divorce or her husband’s death. It is a religious analogue to the contemporary pre-nuptial agreement of secular civil law.

Even before setting foot down that traditional aisle the couple had already been pronounced man and wife.

Mazel Tov!

And yet another Jewish tradition ...The hora.....

The Directors hora is like no other. Let's just say you'd better be in good shape.

Joining The Directors onstage that evening for a surprise special performance was a lovely young girl by the name of Robin Schiller.

NICE JOB ROBIN !!

A few other traditional events from the night were:

The Mezinka
(The giving away of the last child to be married.)

The Garter....

A tradition held up by most newly married couples.

The cutting of the Cake

After all the traditional and emotional moments , guests were ready to get down!

The Directors had no problems with that.

Unfortunately it is always comes to that time when the night draws to a close.

Needless to say that The Directors got some much needed good rest at the end of the weekend.

We would like wish Sam, Elizabeth and their families a heartfelt felt Mazel Tov.
Also thank you to Manny and his capable staff at Shaar Zion synagogue who always does a fantastic job accommodating The Directors. We look forward to working with you soon .
